VIO Online Accessibility Survey
The Volunteering Peak Bodies across Australia have been funded by the Federal Government to improve opportunities for people to participate in the social and economic life of their community through volunteering. One of the ways they plan to do this is through the development of online resources that build the capacity of volunteer-involving organisations (VIOs), including:
Best practice recruitment and training of volunteers.
Best practice strategies for supporting and retaining volunteers.
Best practice volunteer management.
Information, tools, training and resources including regulatory obligations and risk management.
To ensure these resources are accessible to all VIO’s, the VIO Online Accessibility Survey is being conducted to understand the ability of VIO’s across Australia to access resources online. We also want to hear about any barriers to online access you face, and what you need to ensure any online resources that are developed are available to you.
The survey will be open until 5pm Friday 21 April 2023 and should take around 15 minutes to complete. We anticipate the results of the research will help your own organisation to assess your readiness to use the digital resources, and to help in your advocacy and funding efforts. All participating organisations will receive a copy of the final report.
This survey is being conducted by an independent research agency, Survey Matters, so you can be sure that survey responses will remain confidential. Individual responses will not be identified. You can view our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at the bottom of each page of the survey.
We want to provide all VIOs, whether they are large or small, with access to best practice knowledge and tools to attract and engage volunteers across Australia, so thank you for taking part.
The ensure the quality of the research we are seeking to distribute the survey to as many VIO’s as possible, operating across a wide range of sectors and in both metropolitan and rural areas throughout Australia.
If your organisation can support this project by sending the survey out to the VIOs in your network, this can be done in several ways.
Send a specific direct invitation email to your network.
